Pakete in Form von Figuren, streiken vor einem Firmengebäude und Halten ein Schild hoch "Auch bei Amazon hast du Rechte"

You also have rights at Amazon!

  • Dear colleague,

Did you know that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is one of the five richest people in the world? His wealth is estimated to be over $200 billion. This enormous wealth was not created by anyone else but the employees of Amazon, often at the cost of their health. Instead of paying employees the money they earn in the form of wages, profits flow to the executives, and working conditions at Amazon are often poor. This is unfair!

It’s not just about money, though. Amazon employees report to us about the pressure and stress they experience at work. Have you ever had a performance review because you didn’t meet certain targets? This kind of pressure can make you sick. But there are also problems with that. Have you ever experienced Amazon denying you continued pay during illness or trying to persuade you to quit or threatening to fire you due to your sick days?

Additionally, there are issues that particularly affect foreign colleagues. Have you experienced Amazon taking advantage of employees‘ lack of German language skills? Have you experienced discrimination and the employer did nothing about it?

We, the United Services Union (ver.di) and the DGB projects „Faire Integration“ and „Faire Mobilität“, support Amazon employees in enforcing their rights. Do you have questions or problems with your employment at Amazon? Are you willing to organize yourself in a union to fight together for better working conditions at Amazon? Then contact us!

Together with your colleagues, you can change your work situation at Amazon. We will help you do so!
